Turkey Day Race 2017

The 6 hour enduro will be held on Saturday November 25th.. Doors open at 10:00am with open practice for everyone till 12:30. We will then run a quick qualifying to determine the teams. 
Each racer will have the chance to run 10 laps with the same car - the fastest 6 lap times will draw names of the remaining 6 drivers. The fastest will start to draw.

Once the teams are established, there will be one hour for each team to figure out which car to drive, strategy, etc.. - so racing should start around 2:30ish.

So far we have the following drivers signed in:

At this time we are one racer short due to a cancellation from Michigan. We hope to be able to fill this spot - if you have any suggestions, feel free to contact me.

6h Turkey Day Race

Hello there,

it has been a long time since we raced last - mid June for the 6h enduro was the last time to be exact. I hope everyone had a great summer - now that it is getting cooler again and outside activities getting less, it is time to restart the racing season.
One of the main reason for this post is to get feedback, if we should host a 6h Turkey Day Race this year. It'll depend on all of you and your participation....

Thanksgiving is going to be on Thursday, Nov. 23rd.. We could either host the race on Saturday, Nov. 25th., or the Saturday before Thanksgiving, Nov. 18th.

Please let me know, if you are interested and/or the preference of  date.

Piston Cup Results updated

Took a little longer than expected - results from Saturday's race at John's are now updated. The work John and Darrel did, finishing the basement, makes this track look completely different - what a joy to run on!

Looking at the points, it seems there can still be a lot of change in order, before this season is over.

Hopefully we can set up a race on Cobra Speedway in the near future.

Next Piston Cup Race

John contacted me and he says he is ready to host another race. The reason we haven' t raced there in a while was his effort of finishing his basement, together with Darrel. I saw pictures and the place looks fantastic!

So, let's get together on Saturday 6/10 at 1:00 and race the next round for the Piston Cup.

24h Le Mans 2017

As some of you might have already seen on SCI, we are planning a 6h endurance race for Saturday June 17th. The 24h of Le Mans are being held that weekend as well - so, what better than watching the big guys and running a endurance race ourselves.
We are planning to start the event at 10:00am, to give out of town racers the chance to get familiar with the track. It'll be a 2 driver team event, as we have done in the past, with equal drive time for each driver. Racing will start at 2:00pm.

Standings have been updated

Surprisingly, I was able to pull away, after going into this day without having a lot of hope for big wins. Pat ran again very strong and Bruce will have his hands full staying in 2nd place, if Pat continues being fast.

Overall a nice race day, but not many drivers...

2nd round!

It's true, we are starting the second round of the Piston Cup. We will be racing on Paul's Speedrome on Sunday 4/23 at 1:00pm.

Überring Results

After quite some frustration on different levels, we are half way through the Piston Cup season 2016. The results are updated and can be found in the "Standings" category.
Remember, 6 of the lowest points will be subtracted of the total, which is equivalent to missing one entire event.

On another note, we have now a Area 3 tire truer and a power supply, that can be used as a "community truer" by folks that don't have their own. If you need/want to true your tires with is, then send me an email and we get you hooked up.

Cobra Speedway

Nice to have been back to Cobra Speedway - always nice to run on this very fast track. Piston Cup results have been updated to reflect todays racing.

Next week we will race on the Überring, which will conclude the first round of the 2016 Piston Cup. We will have to see on which track we will start the second round....

Test and Tune

Just throwing this out there - is there enough interest to host a test and tune on Saturday 2/18 (that's the day before the race)? Late afternoon/evening?

Respond, and if enough have interest, I will let a guy from Michigan know - he would like to race with us and he could come down next weekend.....

Ok, we will meet on Sunday 2/12 at 1:00pm at Scott - we couldn't get Scott to commit to next Sunday due to his busy life, he has. ; -))

But, if we can get all the original racers to commit to 2/19, then I'm happy to host it here at the Überring.

So, sign up if you want to race on Sunday 2/19 as well...

After a long wait....

...we will finally race again. And wait, there's more... - we are going to race at Cobra Speedway (Scott's)! We haven't raced there in a year, so this will be a challenge for everybody.

Seems like there was some close racing today - the standings are updated with the results from today. I wasn't kidding after the last Piston Cup run - watch out for Pat!!
Bill had some good runs right off the start - congrats! Hope to see you in the future, again.

And what happened with Scott D.? No show, no points - seems like you have work to do on your points. ; -)))
